The story of ADKAT is a really interesting one and it all starts with King Richard Brodeur and John Kucan.

John had a brilliant idea to provide value to the local community by providing community activity boards. He also wanted to give back to the arena’s by providing advertising of local business and give a portion of the proceeds back to the arena for improvements and growth. At the time King Richard was helping 8 Rinks and basically told John “sure lets get started it’s a great idea” and we can say the rest is history.

The name ADKAT also has a nice story behind it...

John came home happy with the turnout of his idea and sat down with his children Katrina and Adam. They were brain-storming ideas for names and Adam said, “lets call it ADKAT Sports Advertising”. Katrina was the older of the two and asked for it to be KATAD, the thing is that AD (part of ADAM’S name) made more sense because of advertising. So we can say that this company has roots in hockey and family.
